The Central VT Business Peer Exchange (BPE) is for professionals working in Montpelier, Waterbury, Stowe, Barre, and Randolph area who want to learn more about gender equity, understand how their organization can benefit from a diverse talent pool, and exchange ideas with peers. Alex McLean | email@example.com
Alex MacLean lives in Peacham, Vermont with her husband Tim Scott, their daughter, Charlotte (3) and a number of chickens. Alex is a Partner and President of Public Relations at Leonine Public Affairs in Montpelier. At Leonine, Alex designs and implements successful public relations efforts and campaigns for businesses, interest groups, and non-profits. Prior to working at Leonine, Alexandra owned and operated a public affairs firm, ASM Strategies. From 2008 through 2012 Alexandra worked for Governor Shumlin as his Chief of Staff in his capacity as Senate Pro Tem and then Deputy Chief of Staff and Secretary of Civil and Military Affairs once he was elected Governor. She also served as the Governor’s Campaign Manager for both his 2010 and 2012 campaigns. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Liz is the owner of Sweet Suite LLC, a Montpelier-based firm providing project management and communications consulting for mission-driven organizations. Liz is a detail-oriented, big picture thinker, working with clients to conceptualize and define organizational goals and carrying out the steps to get there. She is currently a project manager for Vermont Parks Forever, and has previously done work for the Mayor’s Office in Burlington, the Health Care Advocate at Vermont Legal Aid, and Good Beginnings of Central Vermont. Liz has a background in government and public relations, and campaign management. Prior to opening her firm, she spent four years with Leonine Public Affairs, and was the former director for the Vermont Democratic House Campaign and campaign manager for Shap Smith for Governor. She is Vice President of the Board of the Family Center of Washington County and lives in Montpelier with her husband Gabe and their sweet, busy 7-month-old daughter, Julia.
